President and Vice Presidents

 

EFCE President  and Executive Vice-President

In July 2005 the General Assembly elected Professor Jiri Drahos , Prague, CZ, unanimously as EFCE President for a two-year term of office from 1 January 2006 to 31 December 2007. In September 2007 he was re-elected by the General Assembly as EFCE President  for a further term of office (1 January 2008 to 31 December 2009).
Professor Drahos is a Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.

  who held this position for four years (2002-2005).

At the same time Professor John Garside , UK, was elected Executive Vice-President of the Federation. In September 2007 he was re-elected by the General Assembly as Executive Vice-President for a second term of office (1 January 2008 to 31 December 2008) .
Between 2000 and 2004 Professor Garside was appointed Vice Chancellor of UMIST.

EFCE Scientific Vice-President

In August 2006, Dr. Hermann J. Feise , Germany, was elected by the General Assembly to succeed Prof. Pohorecki in the position of EFCE Scientific Vice-President from 1 January 2008 for a two-year term of office (1 January 2008 to 31 December 2009).

     Dr. Hermann Feise serves as an solids processing expert for BASF in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
     He is currently leading the Particle Formulation and   Handling group in BASF Process Engineering.
     Dr. Feise has been a delegate to the EFCE Working Party on Mechanics of Particulate Solids since 2001.
     In 2002 he took over the role of Chairman for the working party. In 2005 he was re-elected chairman of the
     working party for a second term of office (2005-2008).
