Professor Jiri Drahos

EFCE President
for a two-year term of office from 1 January 2006 to 31 December 2007. In September 2007 he was re-elected by the
General Assembly as EFCE President for a further term of office (1 January 2008 to 31
December 2009).
Professor Drahos is a Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.

Dr. Hermann Feise serves as an solids processing expert for BASF in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
He is currently leading the Particle Formulation and Handling group in BASF Process Engineering.
Dr. Feise has been a delegate to the EFCE Working Party on Mechanics of Particulate Solids since 2001.
In 2002 he took over the role of Chairman for the working party. In 2005 he was re-elected chairman of the
working party for a second term of office (2005-2008).
