Winners of the EFCE Student Mobility Award 2007

On the occasion of the 6th European Congress of Chemical Engineering in Copenhagen, Denmark, for the second time the EFCE presented the Student Mobility Award. Three prizes are awarded to the best European students who have successfully studied chemical engineering in first or second cycle study programmes for at least one semester in each of two or more different countries.
The award jury selected this year’s prize-winners from 42 applicants representing 10 European countries on account of their excellent academic performance and a one-page essay about their experiences of studying in different countries. They were invited to attend the 6th European Congress of Chemical Engineering in Copenhagen, Denmark in September 2007 as guests of EFCE.

1st Prize: Mr Daniel Weber, Germany Mr Weber obtained his degree at TU Braunschweig, Germany, after also studying at ENS Paris, France, ETH Zurich, Switzerland, and MIT Cambridge, USA.
2nd Prize: Ms Stefanie Demming, Germany Ms Demming studied at TU Braunschweig, Germany, where she obtained her degree, after also studying at CPS Zaragoza, Spain, and UT Compiègne, France.
3rd Prize: Ms Ana Isabel Carvalho, Portugal Ms Carvalho obtained her degree at IST Lisbon, Portugal, which included studying at DTU Lyngby, Denmark.

Winners of the EFCE Student Mobility Award 2005

On the occasion of the 7th World Congress of Chemical Engineering including ECCE-5 in Glasgow, UK, on 14 July 2005, for the first time the European Federation of Chemical Engineering presented the EFCE Student Mobility Award.
An international jury selected this year’s prize-winners from 44 applicants representing 13 European countries for their excellent academic performance and for their account, in a one-page essay, of the experiences while studying in different countries. They were invited to attend the Chemical Engineering congress as guests of EFCE.

1st Prize: Tobias Kraus, Germany Tobias Kraus studied at TU Munich, Germany, where he obtained his degree, and also at Cambridge, MA, USA and Neuchatel, Switzerland.
2nd Prize: Laura Diaz Anadon, Spain Laura Diaz Anadon obtained her degree at UMIST, Manchester, UK; she also studied in Stuttgart, Germany.
3rd Prize: Lyonel Ehrl, Germany Lyonel Ehrl studied at TU Munich, Germany, where he obtained his degree, and also at Santiago de Chile and Novocherkassk, Russia.
